Sheffield in Edinburgh: Part 2

Ahead of a review in next month’s Now Then I’ll be posting a series of short pieces about the wonderful performers from our Steel City making a splash in the Athens of the North at the world’s largest arts festival.

Next up a charismatic comic we’ve previously interviewed on this very blog.

Peter Antoniou’s ‘Comedium’ show will leave your jaw on the floor and your fingers scratching your head. Billed as ‘award-winning comedy mind reader Peter guides the audience through a series of ever-escalating mind-reading feats without forgetting a quick topical touch on the psychology of marketing and market research.

Expect audience interaction of course, but if that’s the kind of thing that turns you into custard-coloured poultry, fear not. There was a free hug for all at the end of the show.*

*NB Hugs are not guaranteed and Peter reserves the right to add a hug surcharge to the ticket price.

Comedium is showing everyday at 2:05pm, apart from 22nd-28th August when it shows at 1:30pm. All showings at Sweet Grassmarket, Apex City Hotel (Venue #18). Tickets costs £7 (£5 conc.) Box office 0131 243 3596

What’s the best thing about performing in Edinburgh?

It’s the only time in the year you get to do so many shows back to back in the same venue and with wildly different audiences. So you get to have fun with it in a way you normally can’t.

Keep up with Peter on twitter and at his website.
