Catch 23 // Yellow Arch Studios // Saturday 7 July

Summer time is festival time and luckily for us in Sheffield we’re pretty spoilt for choice on the festival front with musical mainstays including Tramlines, Peace in the Park and Music in the Gardens. But this year we’ve got Catch 23 joining the party and bringing a fourteen-hour festival to Yellow Arch Studios, kicking off at 2pm on Saturday 7 July and going right through to 4am on Sunday 8 July. The festival is brought to you by Festival 23, a member-owned not-for-profit organisation with its roots firmly in Sheff-town.

Billed as a Psychedelic Revolution that’s part-party and part-educational experience, the festival will feature live bands, DJs, poets, speakers, interactive art and games, and lots of dancing. Expect plenty of established Sheffield artists to put in an appearance with new and experimental performances, while artists from further afield will also be joining the fun, with Kermit Leveridge from Black Grape bringing his Kermit & The Super Weird Sound set, a workshop with writer and director of the Cosmic Trigger play Daisy Campbell, and some mind-expanding talks from writers John Higgs and Chris Bateman.
