Bullion Chocolate: Kickstarter Campaign

Sheffield is home to a wealth of award-winning food and luckily for us that also includes Bullion Chocolate, Yorkshire’s first bean-to-bar craft chocolate manufacturer. In the two years since founder Max Scotford started Bullion, he’s worked tirelessly to create chocolate of the highest quality made from the most sought-after beans, and has enjoyed wonderful success at the Academy of Chocolate Awards and the Yorkshire Food & Drink Entrepreneur Awards.

Recently, Max was on the lookout for a new space to house Bullion’s factory but nothing seemed quite right until he learnt of a brand new foodhall that’s set to open in Cutlery Works in Neepsend. It will be the largest independent foodhall in the North of England and will be home to an array of bars and pop-up restaurants.

So Max went for a look-around and quickly fell in love with Cutlery Works, deciding that not only should it be the home of the new Bullion factory but that it would also be a dream come true to open a bean-to-bar chocolate cafe where visitors can come and indulge in a range of chocolatey beverages and baked goods. But to make this happen, they need a little help…

They’ve reserved the unit next to their new factory and now need to raise £10,000 to get the cafe up and running. Today, Max launched Bullion’s Kickstarter campaign and they’ve got a range of rewards that you can pledge for, perfect treats and experiences for yourself – or even a gift for a loved one this Christmas. They’d be grateful for any support and are keen to remind people that it’s not just about the money, it’s about community and support so if you aren’t able to claim a reward then please give it a share on your socials.
