Ocean Colour Scene at Don Valley Bowl

As if the news that The Leadmill will be bringing both Haçienda Classical and George Ezra to Don Valley Bowl in August wasn’t enough, they’ve recently announced that the final day of their incredible live music weekend will be headlined by Britpop favourites Ocean Colour Scene. The Day We Caught The Train and The Riverboat Song are still instantly recognisable and fully deserving of their place in the indie song hall of fame, and although it’s knocking on thirty years since the band first formed, they continue to play those indie anthems with the same verve and vigour that they did in the ‘90s.

Joining Ocean Colour Scene on what we hope will be a balmy and sun-soaked August day, will be indie psych-poppers The Coral. They’ll be fresh from touring with the Manic Street Preachers and their upbeat tunes are sure to keep your toes tapping. And to top it all off, they’ll be joined by The Bluetones, Dodgy and Sheffield-born five-piece Sheafs. Get those tickets booked quick for this one, it’s sure to be a blissful trip down memory lane. We’ll see you at the front.
