The Neighbourhood Democracy Movement is a new and growing network, formed during the COVID-19 crisis in 2020. Opus was one of the founding members of NDM and provides strategic input, administrative support and manages the NDM website.
NDM is a movement for citizens, neighbourhoods and their allies. If you are a community group working to enable and empower your neighbourhood or your community where you are, this is for you. It’s a movement to create real democracy in every community and a real shift in power to local people across the UK.
We believe everyone has a unique contribution to make to their community and that people must have more power to make decisions on the issues that affect them at every level. By coming together and sharing what works and what doesn’t we can support each other to flourish.
