Debs Grayson

I first came across Opus and the People’s Newsroom Initiative in 2021, when I worked for the Media Reform Coalition campaigning for a ‘media commons’. I was struck by the connections between these different pieces of work, and after moving to Sheffield and quitting my job I started working with Opus on the People’s Newsroom Initiative Storytelling Commons project in late 2023, and fully joined the team in January ’24. I currently help coordinate the storytelling commons work, and I’m also part of the Demonstrators team. When not at Opus I organise with a few activist groups in Sheffield, and enjoy singing and the odd chilly swim.
