Now Then June Launch Party / Peace in the Park Fundraiser

We’re teaming up with everybody’s favourite community festival Peace in the Park for the Now Then June launch party. We’ll be recommending attendees pay a donation of £2 on the door, and will be putting the proceeds towards funding this year’s festival. To tempt you into parting with your hard-earned coins (altruism just isn’t enough these days), we’ve prepared a truly fantastic line-up for next month’s event, including:

Mean Poppa Lean.

Mean Poppa Lean are a force of nature. They headlined our stage at Peace In The Park last year. Having since completed a tour of Europe, including dates in Amsterdam, Vienna, Budapest and Berlin, this six piece are gearing up for a busy summer on the festival circuit. This is their only date in Sheffield and so, your only chance to catch their funky antics in the steel city. One of the best live shows we’ve ever seen. We’re sure you’ll agree.

“Like the Chili Peppers with Faith No More’s Mike Patton on vocals, with maybe some Foals and some Friendly Fires thrown in for more contemporary measure, this is clearly a band on the cusp of national arena adoration.”

Brighton Source Magazine

Skamel.

Rising Ska and Jazz 6 piece hailing from Manchester and Sheffield. Playing a few Raspigaous covers (French Reggae & Ska group from Marseille) alongside their own material, a jazz standard or two, all heavily influenced by their love of jazz and free music, but still skanked up to the max.

Oojah Music
