Prism 12 – Tramlines Special

PRISM 12 – TRAMLINES SPECIAL.
Featuring Dr Sketchy’s Anti Art School.
Friday 20th July, 6-10PM.
Free Entry.

So we all know about the musical goings-on over this coming weekend – with my personal hot ticket being Signals at Yellow Arch – but we also reckon this exhibition deserves more than a little attention.

Marking the 12th event of its kind with a Tramlines bonanza of contemporary art and live music, Prism 12 is a collaboration between PRISM, Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School and Museums Sheffield, bringing you a unique event to be held in the excellent Millennium Gallery.

Featuring the work of some of Sheffield’s most promising contemporary artists and musicians, Prism 12 also boasts the city’s ‘only alternative life drawing class’, as well as a one-off opportunity to see an after hours opening of Paul Morrison’s Auctorum exhibition.

For anybody who hears the word ‘exhibition’ and runs a mile, this is definitely not a silent chin-stroking affair. The Prism model is a truly original way of bringing art, music and most of all people together in one place for a great experience. I have to confess, I only cottoned on to these shows relatively recently, but I’ve been to every one since and have never been disappointed. See you there. BEN.
